Mission Statement

Our group will educate the Forum's members about a range of key issues that will affect sustainable land use, including planning, preservation, and development in Southeast Michigan. We will work to identify and promote awareness of sustainable practices and serve as a resource for all Forum members.

Issues currently being studied include, but are not limited to:

• Smart growth principles and practices
• Redevelopment and reuse of urban land
• "Green" buildings
• Preservation and creation of green spaces and natural habitat
• The economic and social drivers and impacts of growth
